New Policy Director Joins BHHI

Marc Dones joined BHHI as the new Policy Director! Marc (they/them) is an American social justice advocate and policy strategist. They have worked extensively in the fields of violence prevention, homelessness, affordable housing, and racial equity. Marc has held leadership positions in several organizations and has also served as the Executive Director of the National Innovation Service. Most recently, Marc was the founding Chief Executive Officer of the King County Regional Homelessness Authority, the government agency charged with unifying and coordinating King County’s homelessness response and policy through an equity and social justice lens. 

In addition to their work in social equity, Marc is also a writer and public speaker, and has been featured in numerous media outlets and speaking engagements, including numerous conference keynotes, speaking at the White House, and testifying to Congress. Marc lives with their wonderful partner, Ethan, and two dogs, Brinkley and Leda. Welcome Marc!
