Morgan Philbin, PHD, MHS announced as a recipient of an RFS Award in Science for 2024.
The RFS Awards in Science recognize outstanding contributions by women and underrepresented minorities across Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. peer-reviewed journals. This collection serves as a remarkable compendium of groundbreaking research across science, engineering, and medicine. It highlights the achievements of outstanding investigators who, early in their careers, were often overlooked simply because they did not fit traditional stereotypes of scientists, engineers, or medical researchers.
The Editors-in-Chief and editorial board members across Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. journals nominate papers that demonstrate exceptional scientific contributions. The academic committee then evaluates nominees based on:
- Scientific excellence and originality
- Potential impact on the field
- Rigor of methodology and research approach
Winners are featured on a special PDF page within the issue in which their award is announced, including a biography of each awardee and an abstract of their selected work.
Dr. Philbin was selected for this award for her journal, "Long-Acting Injectable Antiretrovirals for HIV Treatment: A Multi-Site Qualitative Study of Clinic-Level Barriers to Implementation in the United States."
